seeking sharp, self-motivated clinical professionals to assist its surgeons in the largest and busiest orthopedic specialty practice in Virginia. A physician assistant/nurse practitioner, under the general direction of the employing physician, assists with clinical responsibility in the triage, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic injuries and conditions to the musculoskeletal system. Outside of normal clinic hours, the provider will assist the surgeon in the operating room and serve on a rotating “after hours” clinic schedule. It is expected that the provider will demonstrate effective communication skills – both written and oral – with the employing physician and his staff. The PA/NP will perform rounds on patients in acute care, inpatient hospitals. All treatment from this provider will meet the appropriate Standards of Care. considering both candidates with and without orthopedic experience on either a full-time or part-time basis.
