Description
A mission-driven community health organization serving rural North Carolina communities, ~30 minutes south of Fayetteville, is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct patient assessments and prescribe medications
- Order labs and imaging as clinically appropriate
- Manage chronic diseases and support patient self-management
- Monitor patient progress and coordinate care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Participate in case reviews and team huddles
- Mentor and precept other clinicians
- Engage in continuing education and quality improvement
- Support patient-centered health home initiatives
- Serve rural and underserved North Carolina communities
- Join a collaborative, mission-driven team with a strong commitment to patient care
Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Valid North Carolina licensure
- Physician Assistant Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
- Experience with rural or underserved populations preferred
- Familiarity with team-based care or PCMH/PCHH models preferred
