Position Highlights:

• Provide comprehensive vision and ocular examinations through a mobile vision program
• Diagnose and correct refractive errors, including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and amblyopia
• Prescribe eyeglasses, corrective lenses, and ocular medications
• Order and interpret testing for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration, and other ocular disorders
• Evaluate patients for conditions such as hypertension and diabetes and coordinate referrals as appropriate
• Counsel patients on eye health and preventive care
• Co-manage ocular conditions within the scope of optometry and refer complex cases to specialists
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and treatment plans
• Train and support assistants in optometric duties
• Participate in staff meetings, training, workshops, and special projects
• Provide care across Gilroy and Fremont as part of the mobile vision program
• Travel between service locations and community sites as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of optometry
• Current California optometry license and all required state credentials
• Board certified with TPA and TLG/TPG glaucoma certification
• 2 years of optometry experience preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred

• $80.29–$86.81 per hour
