Description
A community-focused healthcare organization in Gilroy, California, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care across women’s health, family planning, school-based health care, and primary care.
Position Highlights:
- Provide comprehensive women’s health, family planning, and primary care
- Support school-based health care services as appropriate
- Perform comprehensive health histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose, treat, and develop individualized care plans
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice
- Perform and interpret laboratory testing
- Provide case management and coordinate referrals
- Perform women’s health procedures, including Pap smears and specimen collection
- Educate patients and communities on contraception, STDs, and other health concerns
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation
- Provide guidance and in-service education to nursing and clinical support staff
- Participate in special projects, training, meetings, and community activities
- Collaborate with Clinical and Medical Directors while working independently within scope of practice
- Some positions may support multiple clinic locations, based on organizational needs
Qualifications:
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license
- National certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or another recognized national certifying body
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Strong knowledge of nursing, diagnostic, laboratory, and medication management practices
- Experience with women's health procedures and specimen collection
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships with patients, staff, and community partners
Compensation & Benefits:
- $74.88–$86.81 per hour
