Description
A leading nonprofit healthcare organization in northwest Indiana, just 30 miles southeast of downtown Chicago, is seeking a BE/BC Palliative Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to join its growing Hospice & Palliative Care program.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time Palliative Care opportunity
- Practice across two hospital campuses in northwest Indiana
- Average of 2 outpatient clinic days per week, based on patient volume
- Inpatient-focused practice with an average daily census of 6 patients
- Average outpatient volume of 5–6 patients per week
- Shared inpatient-only call rotation: 1:4 (weeknights and weekends)
- Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, specialists, social workers, and an onsite chaplain
- National Catholic Bioethics certification provided
- Mission-driven program dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered hospice and palliative care
- Supportive, collegial practice environment focused on collaboration and quality care
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligibility for Palliative Care practice
- Eligible for an Indiana medical license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
